Melbourne Showgrounds is Melbourne’s largest and most versatile indoor/outdoor venue for community, sporting and cultural events. With stylish purpose-built exhibition and event spaces, meticulously restored heritage buildings and an abundance of outdoor showcase spaces over 19 hectares, it offers fantastic value and the flexibility to create an event as large or as small as you like.

Outdoor spaces

Melbourne Showgrounds offers event organisers a range of landscaped outdoor spaces to utilise for a variety of sporting or community events. Positioned at the heart of Melbourne Showgrounds is the landscaped Town Square, 11,000sqm with seating for up to 2,275 in the adjacent Public Grandstand. Nearby, the iconic Main Arena provides 9,000sqm of exhibition/demonstration space, with tiered seating for 4,300.

Indoor spaces

A massive 32,500sqm of multi-purpose indoor space is available in a variety of pavilion sizes, ranging from 300sqm to 10,000sqm. This includes the striking designs of the 8000sqm Grand Pavilion and 10,000sqm Exhibition Pavilion plus spaces ideal for merchandising, meeting points, security areas, catering and much more.
