Melbourne Showgrounds is owned by Showgrounds Nominees an Unincorporated Joint Venture (UJV) between the Victorian State Government and the Melbourne Royal® (The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria Limited).

Melbourne Royal manages the venue and the infrastructure is managed and maintained by BGIS on behalf of Showgrounds Nominees

Melbourne Showgrounds is part of an Unincorporated Joint Venture, a 50:50 joint venture between Melbourne Royal and the State Government of Victoria, led by Chair Karen Janiszewski. The principal activity of the joint venture is to carry out the redevelopment of the Melbourne Showgrounds.
