Sound levels
Sound levels will be monitored by an accredited acoustic engineer to ensure sound meets the SEPP N2
guidelines. We advise that the EPA regulations do mean music from the site will be audible; however, you
should be able to hold normal conversations without being affected.

A directional sound system will be used to minimise the emission of sound to residential areas.
In addition to the main event, sound checks will be made throughout the event day.

Traffic and transport
Attendees are being encouraged to use public transport to access these events. Additional trams will be running on route 57, as per “getting here” information below. Traffic delays are likely and those driving through the area during these periods are encouraged to allow extra travel time where possible.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in place to manage traffic in and around Melbourne Showgrounds for the
festival, both traffic controllers and variable message boards will be used. We expect traffic disruptions will
occur on Sunday 12 March between the hours of 3:00pm – 5:00pm and from 9:00pm until 11:00pm.
Melbourne Showgrounds work with local council, VicRoads and Victoria Police to keep these disruptions to a
minimum.

Parking in the events area
Residents in the events area are reminded to place their permits or temporary parking vouchers on their cars. Parking enforcement officers will patrol the
events area during this event. Please contact Moonee Valley City Council on 9243 8888 to report any parking
issues. Officers will investigate complaints and issue infringements where required.

Event & Accessible car parking will be available on site at Melbourne Showgrounds, via Gate 5 on Langs Road.
Rideshare Drop off & Pick up location is within Melbourne Showgrounds via Gate 5 on Langs Road.

Community hotline
The community hotline will be operating from 3pm until 11pm on Sunday 12 March to take calls from
residents and businesses on any concern relating to local amenity (waste, traffic, parking, and noise) issues.
Should you be concerned about any of these issues, please don’t hesitate to contact:
• prior to the event - Melbourne Showgrounds on 9281 7444.
• on Sunday 12 March - the Community Hotline on 9258 4100.
