Attending the event

• Car Parking

  The intersection of Epsom and Union roads will be fully closed to traffic. This will cause local traffic delays, so please allow extra time to arrive at the venue. Where possible, patrons are advised to catch public transport to the event.

   

  Patrons driving to Melbourne Showgrounds from the south or east, particularly via the CBD, West Melbourne, and Racecourse Road, should avoid Epsom Road. Instead, we recommend travelling around the bottom of Flemington Racecourse via Smithfield Road / Ballarat Road, turning right onto Farnsworth Ave, continuing onto Fisher Parade, turning right into Leonard Crescent, and then turning right into Gate 7.

   

  Patrons driving to Melbourne Showgrounds from the south or east, particularly via the CBD, West Melbourne, and Racecourse Road, should avoid Epsom Road. Instead, we recommend travelling around the bottom of Flemington Racecourse via Smithfield Road / Ballarat Road, turning right onto Farnsworth Ave, continuing onto Fisher Parade and then Langs Road, and then turning right into Gate 5.

• Arriving by Bus

  Bus No. 472 (Williamstown to Moonee Ponds) stops along Langs Road and Epsom Road.

  Bus No. 404 (Footscray to Moonee Ponds) stops on the corner of Epsom and Ascot Vale Roads.

• Arriving by Tram

  Route 57 trams will be running a shortened service between the city and Stop 30 – Flemington Racecourse, with a bus replacement service running between Stop 31 and Stop 49. Due to the works, no trams or replacement buses will service Stop 33 – Melbourne Showgrounds.

• Arriving by Train

  Trains will not be running directly to Melbourne Showgrounds station for this event.

  Take the Craigieburn line to Newmarket Station, then catch Tram No. 57 away from the city to Showgrounds Village Shopping Centre (stop 32) on Epsom Road.
