The Building Unions Picnic 2025
Melbourne Showgrounds proudly hosts The Building Unions Picnic 2025 once again – a much-loved annual tradition for union members and their families to come together and celebrate.
Monday 1 December promises a full day of fun and entertainment – Gates open at 7:30am, with the main event starting at 8:00am.
Experience new attractions this year including a live rodeo show, thrill seeker and family rides, caravans, boats, bikes, and delicious food. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
The fun continues in Santa & Christmas Land, featuring a magical line-up for the whole family. Meet Gabby in Gabby’s Dollhouse and catch Bluey & Bingo Live. Say hello to the Grinch or visit Santa in person. Enjoy pony rides, explore the inflatable zone, discover the reptile zone, and meet the animals in the nursery.

Onsite parking is available for this event, please enter via Gate 7 on Leonards Crescent.

Bus No. 472 (Williamstown to Moonee Ponds) stops along Langs Road and Epsom Road.
Bus No. 404 (Footscray to Moonee Ponds) stops on the corner of Epsom and Ascot Vale Roads.

Tram No. 57 (Elizabeth Street City, to West Maribyrnong) stops at Showgrounds Village Shopping Centre (stop 32) on Epsom Road, a short 3 minutes walk from Gate 1 of Melbourne Showgrounds.
